I'm most excited about reading Charles and Emma (Darwin) and Evolution of Calpurnia Tate - I've heard great things about both of them. I think I will grab them off the shelf as soon as I'm off desk!
I've already read When You Reach Me and loved it, although half the fun was coming up with a quantum physics based theory on how the story worked. (You have your fun, I have mine, all right?)
Based on the summary, I will not be able to stand Also Known as Harper (Writing poetry helps fifth-grader Harper Lee Morgan cope with her father's absence, being evicted, and having to skip school to care for her brother while their mother works, and things look even brighter after she befriends a mute girl and a kindly disabled woman.) Life always looks better after those super angelic disabled people show you how much worse your life could be, right? Gag.
What are you looking forward to?

I went to grab When the Whistle Blows off the shelf but it wasn't there. Denied! So I grabbed Calpurnia Tate instead. Sorry Shelly.
Ooh, talk about denied! I am sticking my tongue out in your general direction. I ended up grabbing Heart of a Shepherd instead, and I kind of like it so far.
For kid appeal, and sheer inventiveness I really like When You Reach Me. Charles and Emma is sitting on my bedside table right now. So far, so great.
I couldn't get into Charles and Emma after all. I was hoping for more of the Galapagos adventure and less about his marital musings...just started Love, Aubrey.
