Book Buzz

Continuing with November being all about Native American History Month and Thanksgiving I went with a Thanksgiving theme this week. I figured I could get a couple of storytimes each out of this topic. I started off asking what they knew about Thanksgiving and what they were thankful for. I then read "Pilgrim Cat" which the kids all seemed to enjoy. Lots of the kids had cats as pets and one little fellow told me his cat was male but had never dated! This after finding out that the cat in the story turned out to be a female (and a mother) and not a male. We then made model Mayflower ships out of paper plates from the book"Thanksgiving Day Crafts". A
