One first grade feminist raised her hand and was simply outraged at this travesty of justice, exclaiming, "But that is NOT FAIR. Girls can be groundhogs too Miss Jennifer!"
After two weeks of chocolate frosting and glitterglue heavy crafts, I decided on a low mess level craft activity. We made paper groundhog crowns-- they were a big hit and the kids looked adorable in them.
I am loving this age group!
